This week in the life of Rick

Not a whole lot to post this week as nothing much happened. Monday did work and the gym, Tuesday night went to a hockey game (nhl exhibition game) Pitts. and Ottawa...ottawa won 5-2. went to it with pete (guy in the picture...i won't let him sit on my furniture). We missed the first two ottawa goals cause we were in line for some french fries. We got in line at 1st intermission and were still in line the first 10 minutes of the 2nd period and thats when they were scored but we got the see the rest of them. It was a good game. I was going to take my sports horn but there was nothing left in it....that would have been loud...oh the fun we had with that in PEI when Truro used to come over and play. Trudy used to have a HUGE crush on one of the players that she knew...we went to every one of those games. For the life of me now I can't remember his name but man he was hot.

I thought i would see lots of people I knew at the game but i only say one of my ex's. (purloator man). I saw him when i first went in but he didn't see me cause his back was to the crowd and then in the 2nd period there was a purloator prize package that was passed out to an audience member and so then he was on the big jumbo tron.

Also at hockey games there is the Kiss o camera on the jumbo tron and earlier pete asked me if i was going to kiss him if it came on and i told him no cause someone might see (as h&r has seats at the center so someone from work might have been there) so when it finally came up on the jumbo tron i sat so that it looked like we wern't together and that i didn't know him....i felt mean doing it but i wasn't going to let people we might know see....maybe next time if there is another chance.

Anyway tuesday was fun.

Wednesday did the gym again and thursday went for a walk to bayers lake to get something to wear for casual day and i found some nice comfy clothes at jacob connection.

Friday worked and skipped the gym and bill came for supper so me and lyd got subway and he got DQ. Watched tv then did the usual friday sleep on the couch. work up at 430 and went to bed till 9. At around noon I went up to Jo's and we went for a walk in the trails. Got home and watched a movie with Lyd...we think it was surposed to have subtitles in some parts but it didn't show on the tv so we missed 1/2 of the movie but we got the just of it....or we think we did...it was called Syrira or something like that..George Clooney and Matt Damon was in it.

Then we went up to Sports Check, then the bulk barn then superstore and then watched TV the rest of the evening...now i'm doing this and its 1137pm.

Bad weather for the Rolling Stones tonight. We had heavy rain and winds....I imagine the people are soaked. Thank god for garbarge bags. I am so glad it was awesome weather for Bon Jovi...oh Bon Jovi...the memories...thats seems like forever ago even though its only been about 2 months.

Well I should go now as i have to get up for church tomorrow morning. I don't think I have anythign planned after that. Maybe pick up a book. I think its still surposed to rain. Tuesday I have to go downtown agian to pick up our Run for the Cure tshirts.

Did I mention that me and jo are doing the Learn to Run at the Running room in bedford? its on tuesday evenings from 630-730. That should be fun. Rumor has it that the group is HUGE.

last couple of weeks

Well its been a few weeks since I wrote on here. Went home on the long weekend and on the way home me and lyd ran into some car troubles. Between New Glasgow and Antigonish we heard a noise and we pulled over and I got out and looked and our bracket that holds the muffler and stuff fell off so our stuff was dragging on the road. We called mom and dad and he told us to "tie it up and keep driving"....thanks dad. But luckly they were in Antigonish and not New Harbour so they came and dad tied it up for us with help from some guy that stopped.

Saturday me, jo, matt and dad went golfing. Matt won the trophy from Dad..finally someone else got the trophy. Me and jo will next year. We had a good game golfing. There were a few newfies over there and they were loud...but very funny. I get a kick out of listening to newfies talk.

I came home with jo and matt on sunday because Lyd was on vacation so she kept the car down home with her so she could come back the next weekend. I didn't do anything the rest of the long weekend. Tuesday - Friday I did lyds job in the mailroom and it went pretty well. I was working 730-330 and also last week as well but just not in the mailroom. Last weekend I didn't do anything either. Just went to church on Sunday and I think thats about it. I also tanned as well cause it was still warm.

This week I didn't do a whole lot. Just worked and then trying to run after work. I'm up to 17 minutes...I'm not very fast but oh well. Only 2 more weeks to the Run for the Cure. I finally got the team registered (had a little problem at the bank) but went downtown friday at lunch to sign up for the tshirts so thats all done now. Just on the 26th I think I have to pick them up. I think I'll do that at lunch as well. Friday I got to hang out with bill at lunch and also stop into customs to see my buddies I haven't seen since I left (about 2 years ago). That was a fun lunch.

AND friday night was the night that GridIron Gang came out with my boyfriend Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson...I of course went to see it and also all week I have been taping his "promos" for the movie on all the talk shows. I love him. The movie was good but it was a tad to long...it was a little over 2 hours. You think its over and then 45 minutes later its still going.

Didn't do anything yesterday cause I woke up with splitting headache that lasted all day and some of today. Headed to church this morning but then Jo didn't feel good so we turned around once we got there. Then around 130 went down to DQ on spring garden then for a stroll to the Public Gardens...then back home and went for a walk with jo in the trails at 330 for about an hour or so then rented "Take the Lead" which was enjoyable...its about dancing.

Speaking of danceing...they have a new class at the gym that started lastweek and I took it monday and it was a little confusing for me but i'm going to be a trooper and try again this week. Its hip hop dancing.

Also in October I am looking into some belly dancing classes, they teach it at the west end mall. I need to learn to move. I try to dance but Lyd keeps laughing at me. I got a belly dancing book from one of my friends a few bdays ago and I have to learn how.

Well thats about it for now. I just watched some of the finale of Canadian Idol and Farley Flex where did you get your suit?........Don Cherry?

I forgot to mention (and I can't beleive I did) that someone STOLE MY HUBCAPS!!!! I walked out this morning to the car and noticed 2 were gone then walked around the car and low and behold they were all missing. I guess a trip to the store for some hubcaps is in the plans for this week. I think cars look ugly without caps...thats the frist thing I buy for my car if they don't have 1/2 decent ones on is hubcaps...they are very important.
I can't beleive that someone did that...of all the cars in our lot they had to pick mine...maybe they don't like the cheifs?
