So full of knowledge

There is a customs broker course thru corrospendence and online that Charlie told me about offered thru the C.S.C.B (Canadian Society of Customs Brokers) and so I looked it up and they cost about $400-$500 each. I want to take them just so I know what I'm doing at work (cause thats always good to know). So I took the outline into work yesterday and asked my supervisor (finally know who it is...I kinda have 2..depends on my issue) and asked them to look it over and asked if they thought they might be able to pay for it. Today they came back saying they (graybar would). I was gonna do it anyway (maybe not right now cause I just bought a car so I can't fork over 500.00 right at this moment) so its good that they will pay. I was gonna make a suggestion that if I failed that I would pay them back but I'm pretty smart and I won't fail. Except that if I start next month then all my summer nights will be in the books but I imagine that it will pay off in the long run. So my first course runs for 6 months (give me something to do in Moose Jaw) and then I have to write an exam. Its an Introduction to Customs (everything to do with Importing and Exporting and all that). Then the next one gets more into Nafta and the valuation of products and HS codes (more of what I do now) and then the next one is a Customs Broker Specializist (not sure if i'll be doing that last one or not..guess we'll see how the first one goes first). So I'm pretty excited about all that.

I was talking to the client service person for customs and she said that they are having a seminar at the end of June about Customs Complience and related topics and I mentioned to my supervisor about it and she told me to sign up for that...WOW my heads gonna be so full of knowledge by the time I'm done with it all.
Maybe this will pay off more then my Travel and Tourism Management Diploma HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

So it looks like Jo and Matt are getting out golfing a bit (as per joeyludd.blogspot.com). Thats what I miss about my guy...is that I always had someone to golf with.

Speaking of golfing. A few of the management in our office go to meetings in April in Georgia and that just happens to fall on the same weekend as the MASTERs!!!!! YEP, THEY GO SEE THE MASTERS EVERY YEAR. Rumor has it that Graybar US is a sponser of the masters...not sure but I know they go. Man I was so jeleous when I heard that. Maybe someday down the road it will be me going. Probably not this year or next...but you never know.

Today walking home I realized that bday 26 is just around the corner and I was reflecting over my year 25. and what a year it has been. It started off great with Greg and the wonderful flowers and dinner he took me to and I was so happy, I couldn't think things could get any better. Then it kinda went downhill for a bit when we split and then I left Livingston and then its going back up now with my new job at Graybar and the courses that I'm taking and the job that I love and I may not be involved with anyone but thats ok right now. I'm almost happier now then I've ever been...there are so many possibilities. Making new friends, meeting new people. Who knew? That lastyear at this time I would be where I am today? I sure didn't. The pastor always says to put god first in your life and everything else will fall into place. man that is SO true!!!! I am blessed.

Well goodnight all..gotta hit the sack. My benifits are kicking in next pay (yep 3 months already), just in time to get new contacts.

What fun!

Tuesday went to see Star WArs with Philip. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Philip told me how the whole ending turned out and I would have made it end differently with Darth Vaders wife coming back from the dead and him turning human again and they get back together...but apparently Star Wars doesn't end that way.

Thursday night I was invited to Mr. Coopers retirement party and I saw all the Livingston crew there and I finally met the President of Livingston, they were all very nice. Mr. Cooper retired for the last and final time. He was with Livingston for 47 years...hummm wonder if I'll ever be at a company that long. I was kinda nervous going there cause I wasn't too sure about Charlie (old boss) but we met up and we had a good chat. They all said that I looked very good and happy.

Friday I had a Microsoft Course downtown on Barrington street from 9-4. I took the bus down with Bill and we had coffee and walked along the waterfront like old times. At lunch I met him down there again and we sat on the waterfront and ate. The oil picnic thing was that day as well so the boardwalk was busy. Then we got out of the course at 330 so I went up to Affiliated and talked with Bonnie and Michelle till 5 and took the bus home again with Bill and I saw..... APPLEBOY!!!! (hes so cute..he was my bus crush)

I was surposed to go out with Jo and the gang on Friday evening to the Alehouse but I got home and didn't want to go back out. So me and Lyd went to shoppers to rent "Be Cool" but it was all rented so we got "Closer" which I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone..well so Lyd said cause I fell asleep.

Saturday morning got up and went golfing with Jo (nice clubs) and Matt at Pin High. When we were leaving to go there the clouds were out and it looked very overcast and then we got there and the sun came out and it was really, really hot. I didn't do as well as lasttime but I did ok. So after that we came home and went and tanned out on Jo's patio for about an hour and then I came home and relaxed for a bit and then got ready to go downtown with the "cool" people from work. I drove down Tanya and then met the rest of them down at the Lower Deck (Tanya, Randy, Peter, MJ, her friend, Ian, Angela, Karen, Natilie and her sister). We got there about 9pm and I thought it would be packed but not out where we were sitting but it was packed inside. The staff at the Lower Deck walk around and take pics and put it on their website and they took one of us. I wanted to link it to this website but I called Jo to help me but shes not home. Anyway if you wanna look its on www.lowerdeck.ca, go to photo gallery, 2nd line down, last one over (june 11, patio party) and then we are pic 16. I'm the one in the peach tank top, 2nd from the left, and no thats not my bf sitting next to me..the one thats trying to get as big as the Rock is...just kidding..the Rock is still my boyfriend.

So after a bit we got a call from another co-worker, Brycen, and he was at Cheers so we all headed up there and met up with him. Then we left about 1230 or 100 and 3 of the girls went over to the Rodieo in Dartmouth and the rest of us went to Pizza corner and then I took them all home (as I was the only sober one with a car). So I got home about 230 and then got up this morning and went to church. On the way home me and Lyd went back to Shoppers to see if "Be Cool" got back and they are all still rented (must be more then 1 rock fan around here). So we ended up getting "In Good Company" which is good. Then I finally met Bill's son, Ryan, hes cute, hes got a nice face on him. I

And now I am writing here and then probably going to bed. My body is totally sore and tired. Did I mention I got a burn yesterday? I love the sun.

Its seems like forever ago since Tuesday night. We are planning on heading down home this weekend for Fathers Day but I might wait till Canada Day. I wanted to take dad golfing but its surposed to rain as of now, but that may change all week.

My car is great. I love it.
