It's been a while since I last wrote so we'll see if we can remember what has happend since then. UUUMMM...I've been looking for a new job since the issue with the snow storm and all and all the stuff before that..so I mentioned it to our courier that does our local runs for us and he came back the next day and said to give him my resume and he'll take it to Rio Import and Export for me and drop it off..that was Thursday last week..so that night they called me and wanted me to come in for an interview on Monday whenever I get there after work...so I said ok. So I told Supercity on Friday and he said he would put in a good word for me.
Mom and Dad came up on Friday and brought our car back cause when Lyd went down there was something wrong with it so she brought theirs back so they came up to trade. WE got some pizza that night. Then on Saturday we went out to Blessings and then to Zellers and Walmart. Mom wants my coffee table and end tables cause it matches her entertainment stand and she said she would buy me new ones..we can't find light ones anywhere thats why she wants mine. So we went looking but couldn't find anything that we liked. Then Dad was looking at TVs and was debating on wether to get one or not. Then we went to the superstore and got some taters and chicken and salad and Jo and Matt came for dinner. Mom and Dad left at about 3pm..they stopped back into Walmart and got a new tv and dad got some snowshoes (Clayton must have them..or Clay..haha). Me and Lyd just vegged after they left for the rest of the evening...some relaxing.
SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!!
On Sunday morning me and Bill and Jo went to church and then Bill came for dinner and we had some mini pizzas and then I walked him home. Then I went over to Marks (ex I haven't spoken to for 2 years)for about and hour..we had a nice visit..hes great to talk to..we did some catching up. He asked me if I ever thought of him over the 2 years...I did on his B-day and at xmas cause he used to make some killer tart...I'm drooling just thinking about them..and his mom used to make some bits and bites. So anyway we chatted and he was looking for something to eat and he opened his freezer and I saw to big bottles of homeade starwberry jam...its the bomb. Anyway left there about 415pm and then went to Greg, Daves and Rachels for SUPERBOWL. I was told the food would start flowing at 5pm but it started later then that. Pregame show sucked. Before it started we made up all these games to play for the game. Daves was to pick a player and whoevers player went 100yards first won the game..and that was me. I picked MacNabb. (sp?). Then Matts game was we had to pick a player and each quarter and who ever got the most points won for that quarter..but we couldn't pick the same player twice. Then my game was in each quarter you had to guess how many flags were gonna be throwen against each team. Then Jonis game was to get into teams and see who had the best cheers (didn't really do that..we were so full by the time the game came that we couldn't move). And the best game of all was made up by Mr. G.I.G!! Its was so great that I can't even begin to explain it..lets just say that we all can't wait till next year to play it again. Only Greg knows the rules and point sturcture...just kidding G...it was a fabulous game!!! I wish I had've thought of it myself.
So the game started and I think most of us were going for The eagles. Dave was a great hostess..he first brought out the wings and man they ROCKED!!!! Had a few lbs of those. Then he bought out the sandwiches...TUNA and I think some egg...of course I just ate the tuna. LOVE TUNA!!! They also had these egg things there but I only liked the white part and then someone else ate the yellow. Then he brought out some beef jerky and then some burnt bbqed pepporni..but it was tasty..if you like charcoal..just kidding once again..it was good. Then Jo and Matt brought out the nuts that they brought..some good and then at half time we had some nachos..but everyone was so full that they could hardly eat any...OH and Devins Dip...FANTASTIC!! I must say that it was nice to see Devin cause I haven't in a while. You look good Dev. Hes getting married in June, and all the boys are standing with him...ah.. them in tuxes..I think they all are..not sure...gotta get a picture...hey maybe I'll have my digetal by then and I can put some pics on here...alot more interesting then my writing all the time. So about 1130pm the game was over and Jo drove me home. It was alot earlier then the last few that I remember.
Monday went to work, took the car, took Lyd to work and then went down and was still there by 8am. After work went over to Rio and had my interview. They seem like nice people and a good company. They said they would let me know hopefully by Wednesday. I was very happy about it all when I got home.
Tuesday went to work came home and thats it.
Wednesday went to work and then was gonna go to Bedford with Lyd for her eye appt. but I didn't. Rio didn't call.
Thurday went to work..checked my messages from work and Rio was on the machine..they wanted me to call them when I got home from work..so after that I was flyin' high all day..I couldn't sit down. So I got home and called them and they offered me the job and I start in 2 weeks. I start at a little higher pay and if everything works out after the 3 months prob. period then they're gonna raise it again. I'm very excited about it. When I got it I called Mom and Jo and they didn't seem to impressed so it made me down about it and made me start to doubt that maybe I just made the biggest mistake..and then I cried. Then Lyd talked to me and I felt better again and mom and Jo are happy for me I think.. Doesn't really matter cause its just something that I did and something that I'll deal with if I doesn't work out..but I'm very excited about it and it looks promising..but we'll find out soon enough. I prayed that if this was the job for me then God would make it so and if not then that was fine too. But I got offered it and I accepted it, and I'm excited.
So that brings us to today. I went into work first thing and told Charlie that I was giving my 2 weeks and I gave him my letter. He kept saying "thats interesting" to everything I said and then he said "well it looks like your minds made up and that we can do nothing to change it" and I said no and then that was the end. I thought that he would be all weird all day but he was fine..we all had a good day. Carol was on vacation today. Falon was running around tell everyone cause she was so happy for me. She said she couldn't sleep a wink lastnight cause she kept thinking about me. Everyone else seemed to be happy for me too and Janet, of course, was my "buddy" today. So I have 10 more work days with Livingston. The one thing I am worried about is my gym routine..what am I gonna do? will I have time to go to the gym? where will I go? Maybe I can get the girls in the office to join (that didn't go over well at Livingston, no one wanted to come with me). I will miss my downtown gym..been going there about a year and a half and its just like home. I know everyone there. But things chance and gotta meet new people. Also worried about what do I do with my RRSP and all that? haven't got a clue. G kinda told me but I gotta talk to someone about it.
Gotta get Jo and Lyd a valentines gift. Probably get Billy one too. I have no idea what to get anyone. Jo said maybe a gift certificate so she can get some traveling cloths for mexico. Its almost that time. I've gotta pick up my friends husband at the airport on the 24th of feb..and I think he might be staying the night here...not right sure about that yet though. Almost time to drive the Tiberon. Hey Bill..its silver, not grey.
I have been eating so much junk and chocolte at nights lately but I think its cause I had so much on my mind and I am an emotional eater and so I eat for everything. Just ate lots of chocolte covered raisons...gotta stop now.
