4 MORE DAYS!!!
I forgot to mention last sunday that there was a car fire across the street in the Nubody's parking lot. Not sure what happened but we were watching TV then all of a sudden out the window I saw huge flames and got out my binoculars and saw that it was a car. I don't like fire. I would hate to get burnt (excpet from the sun..that smells good)
On Thursday Billy invited me, Lyd, Jo and Matt over for some speghetti and boy was it good. I love pasta. We stayed till about 8pm then came home in time for the O.C on at 9pm. What is it with every show having gay people on it? Whats up with that? Do they think more people will watch because of it? I personally think that its not right and that its gross.
On Friday I went to the gym in the morning before work and I was beat all day after that. I thought the gym was surposed to give you energy..it usually does but not that day. Anyway it was Janet's bday and I thought that I should go to lunch with them all beans it would be my last bday celebrating with any of them..so I did. Bill need to borrow a few bucks so I gave him my bank card and pin number and told him to go to the bank at lunch cause I didn't have time. Well he comes back saying that my pin doesn't work..I'm surprised and wondering what he is talking about..turns out I gave him the wrong one. So I gave him the right one and sent him back to the bank. He comes back saying that my card was cancelled. I didn't beleive him and I thought he was joking but he wasn't. So after I finished eating my faboulous soup and salad I trucked on up to the bank and had to go in and see a lady and she told me never to give out my bank card and all that which I know but if I trust you then I will give it to you if I know that you will be good with it...hey its not the first time I gave it out...Jo and Lyd and all them have done it for me before. Anyway got it all straightend out for in case I needed it for the weekend. Lunch turned out well with the ladies.
Then on Friday night I was going out to supper with Christa and Lucia, or so I thought but there were 3 other girls there as well. They all knew Lucia. We went to the Economy Shoe Shop (yes its a resturant). I ordered a Club Wrap and it was the best club wrap that I have ever eatten in my whole 25&1/2 years. They served it warm and it was AWESOME!!! Also I felt like I was at home there cause they had tonnes of spider plants around and all you know how I am with spider plants...can't get rid of them. Anyway the party broke up about 8:30 and Christa drove me home. Her and Lucia wanted me to go out with them for dessert but I was tired by 8:30pm..can you beleive that? Well its true. That was a late night..haha. Came home and fell asleep on the couch. Good Friday evening.
Sat urday I had plans to get up and go shopping and to the gym but again I got lazy and did nothing. It was a beautiful day though. Lyd went out and got us some groceys. I got all my stuff for income tax so I gave it to matts dad to do up for me. Matt was going down on Sunday so he would give it to him then. Saturday night me and Lyd watched Under the Tuscan Sun...it was a good movie..made by the same people as Sweet Home Alamba..which I love that movie to peices.
Well Sunday morning got up and ready for church. At 10am I went out to the car to go pick up Bill and I saw some black smoke across the road and it smelt like wood burning and I took a deep breath in and said to my self "Man I love that smell". Kinda reminded me of when dad burns brush and grammies wood stove burning. Anyway got in the car and never thought any more about it, then got bill and came back and picked up lyd and then we went to pick up Jo and I showed Bill the smoke and it was barrling out of the stacks of the apt. building across the street. He said that it looked like there was a fire under the roof. So we kept driving and never thought any more about it cause we didn't think it was a fire and we never heard any sirens or anything so we mosied on the church. After church we went up to Chapters and looked around. After we dropped of Jo we were sitting at the set of lights and all of a sudden my right contact fell out of my eye so I drove the rest of the way with one eye. When we got there it was way to dry to put in my eye and it was getting all crinkled at the edges, so I just threw it away...walking around Chapters with one eye clear and one eye blind. We got a coffee from the Second Cup (not too good just black). I looked at some hair magazines cause I'm getting my hair cut next weekend hopefully. Its way to thick and heavy and stacticy this time of year. I was looking also for a message book that I saw lastyear for $9.95 that told you how to give a message. (I should have bought it then cause I can't find it now). Anyway was looking at books and then all of a sudden G was standing there. Him, Rachel and Dave were up there too. So we had a chat and decided to get everyone together and go out to the mustache for supper on sat. night..so we'll see if that happens.
Anyway we left chapters without buying anything and I drove home with my one eye..I did pretty good. We came around the corner by Glenforest and there was cars everywhere..and guess what...yep that nice burning smell I smelt at 10am turns out that the apt. was on fire!!!! There was fire trucks everywhere and a few roads were blocked off and it was really thick with smoke. We came in the apt. and our power was off because of it so we had a sandwich while Lyd went out to find one of her friends that live in the apt. 2 feet away from the one that was on fire. (Got out my binocolars and watched across the street.) She couldn't find her. They all had to be evacuated and taken to a shelter. So after we ate me, Lyd and Bill went across the street for a walk. We saw lots of trucks and fire and firemen...My heart goes out to those people that lost their home. There was nothing we could do but watch. We decided to take a walk down to Shoppers cause I needed to buy some stuff and boy was it ever freezing. IT WAS COLD!!! Anyway went down and back and then came home and read cause there wasn't much to do with no power. It finally came on about 6pm. We smelt like the fire cause we were out walking around in that smoke. After the power came on we did laundry and just watched some T.V. The firemen were still there at 10pm that night.
Monday morning (this morning) there was still a fire truck there and hoses still all over the road. What a night. I read a article on it in the daily news this morning and they said that it started at about 830-930am yesterday morning but still at 10am when we saw it there was still no fire trucks there or we never even heard sirens. So I don't know what happened that took so long. They say that it may have started from the laundry room on the second floor and went right up the wall (4 story apt. building). I feel so bad for them. Lyd was talking to her friend today and she is staying with some friends. There is still a truck over there now.
Enough bad news..
4 more days of work at Livingston. Gail took me out to lunch today cause she's gonna be on the road the rest of the week and I may not see her anymore before I leave. We had a nice lunch and chat. Had a salad and piece of fish. YUM.
Today just flew by. I was so busy today. I didn't get to the gym this morning or at lunch so I came home and went to Joe Howe with Jo after work. I'll probably have to switch there when I start working in Dartmouth cause right now its downtown. It'll be my third switch of a curves since I started about 2 years ago. I like this Joe Howe one..close to home as well. (closer then downtown anyway). So we went then got home and ate some supper (rice, steak, sidekicks, beets and green tomatoe chow chow (love that stuff)). Lyd made it...some good. Then watched a bit of TV and now here I am. I feel like I have to do so much this week.
I have a dentist appt. on wed. morning at 9am..gotta get it done before my benefits run up on Friday. Just getting a cleaning..was scheduled for May but got them to move it up..gotta miss work but so what...its gonna be paid for.
Matts dad called me lastnight and told me that I'm getting a refund for my income tax, although I won't post how much I'm getting, lets just say its ALL good.
Well thats it for me for this evening. Sorry I don't write everyday but I don't turn my computer on every day now (mosttimes, but not always). I thought that I should catch everyone up at least once a week now...haha.
Anyway..gonna hit the sack so I can get up and hit the gym tomorrow morning so I can have luch free and spend it with my buddy Bill the last week I'm there. Have a great night everyone. Love you all.
