Reckless Emotion
Its been a week tomorrow since I've been back from Moosejaw.
Me and dad went out to see Uncle Paulywaug and his family, my, have they grown. We got in the van to drive to Moosejaw and Uncle Paul said what do ya think? and I looked out the window and saw nothing for miles and I said "This is it for another 40 minutes till Moosejaw" and he laughed and said "yep this is it" and at that moment I thought, what did I get my self into for a week. But we drove into Moosejaw and its a town so I was happy about that and they live in the suburbs that is only 10-15 minute walk to right downtown...so that is what I did all week. Dad and Uncle Paul went geese hunting every morning and did some dear hunting in the afternoon at times. At night I went with Uncle Paul to spot geese to find a shoot for the next morning and it is beautiful out there on the flatlands when the sun is going down...very cold...but very, very nice. I absolutely love it out there. Moosejaw is home of the snowbirds who I have loved forever. We went on base and saw some of the fighter jets do touch downs...I could've watched that ALL day. I love airports and watching planes land and take off. The only thing that makes me not fond of flying is my ears get all BUNGED (and yes that is a real word, i looked it up and its also on jo's site) up on landing, but eventually they pop. One day we went out to Regina shopping and I saw where the Saskachewan Rough riders play (we were gonna go to a game but they didn't play when we were there). And I went to a Moosejaw Warriors game (same as division/league as the Mooseheads). And we also went to a museum and the snowbirds stuff was in there and real trains (not moving ones) and old cars and all that type of stuff, it was very fun. And then for the most part we looked at stuff to by people. It was the last day we were there and we didn't have anything with moosejaw on it to get anyone so I went into this store and notices that they had some stuff but I didn't really like it but they had plain shirts (all types and styles) and she said they could press stuff on them and I thought it would take a few days to do but she said it only took a few minutes so I got everyone tshirts and got a little crest type thing that said moosejaw, Saskatchewan with a moose's head on it. They look pretty good. I bought one for myself as well, I have it on now. I wore it to work and everyone loved it. (I thought it was just a regular kinda shirt but I just must make it look good?) Anyway I bought so much there that the lady gave me a free moosejaw coffee mug..haha.
So we flew back on Sat. Oct.8 and we got in around supper time so Jo, Matt and Lyd came to get us and we got back here and mom had turkey supper already or us to sit down and eat...and let me tell you it was delicious. They left on Sunday to get back home. The plan was for the trailer to be moved so they can hook the water and sewer up to the house now (it all done but that-they even have power in it), but they got back home and the trailer was still there so nothing was hooked up. Mom called tonight and said that the trailer finally left today and they are waiting for it to be hooked up and then the house is finally done. They did ok living like the olden days. Grammie Beba just lives across the street so they can shower and stuff there, but they were hoping they wouldn't have to...oh well..they are making out ok and it shouldn't be too much longer now. When it gets all hooked up then we will go down and see it. Lastime I saw it was when the walls were being put up, so it should be exciting, but different as we grew up in the trailer and its gone now...but we just have to driver to TorBay to see it.
I'm still playing Squash and I got Angela from work to play too. I love it. Me, Angela, Dave and Greg play...trying to every Tuesday and Thursday when we can. Angela and her boyfriend bought a house and the closing date is on Oct.28 so I'm going to help her move on the 29th, along with Peter at work (and probably Randy but she didn't ask him yet as he went to Ottawa for the week) and her boyfriend has some friends coming too (i've never met her boyfriend or his friends). She now lives on the Bedford highway and they are moving to Queensland.(whereever that is). They have been together since high school and (shes 1 week or 2 older then me), so they've been together for quite a few years now...as its been almost 10 years since I graduated. They are both from Truro or Brookfield (or something like that..hes later 20's I think).
Jo and Matt are taking vacation next (this) week and going down to the Cabot Trail. It should be very nice with the trees all changed as I know how nice it is when they are all green. (Thanks Greg..not G.. but Gregory, purolator man).
Lyd is invited to a wedding tomorrow so shes out shopping for that this evening. I would've went but after supper I got into the chocolate chips and I felt sick when she left...why do I do that??????????? I know its going to happen when I buy them...or take them out of the cupboard.
Work is going good and now I am learning how to submit B-2's (amends and refunds for claims with customs). They are fun to do. I haven't studied in 3 weeks as I've been sick for 2 and then went on vacation so I have to get back into it this weekend as February is just around the corner.
I've been thinking about buying a pair of skates and going to the public skates that are in the arena here in my driveway. I've gotta find out when they are. Brycen said they used to be on Sunday nights between 9pm and midnight...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...forget it.
Did I mention that my mp3 player gave me trouble at the Regina airport on the way home? Well it did.
Also there is an incident that happened with someone at work that you may have heard on the news...but I can't get into it now as I'll wait till they release his name.
Well its 920pm so I'm gonna see whats on TV. What Not To Wear is on tonight and I love that show..I'm so excited.
If anything is wrong or doesn't make since or misspelled then I apologize as I didn't proof read before I submitted.
One more question to see what everyone thinks.
Moosejaw is 3 hours behind us so when we change the clocks does that make it 2 hours behind or 4 depending on if they go back or forward as moosejaw doesn't have daylight savings time?
